Design a decorative printed circuit board and export the files a fab needs. It works like a colouring book: you draw dividing lines, and then click the areas between them to say what each one is made of. It runs entirely in your browser.

  • Trace a reference image into dividing contours, or draw them yourself with lines, polylines, rectangles, circles and strokes.
  • Paint with the five things a board can look like: bare FR4, soldermask over bare FR4, exposed copper, soldermask over copper (the default), and silkscreen. Or with none of them: an area marked as a cutout is milled clean out of the board.
  • Bare FR4 on both sides of the same spot gives a translucent light window, and the tool enforces that coupling for you instead of letting you discover it at the fab.
  • Place the electronics: LEDs, a CR2032 holder and a button, all on the back, with the nets derived from the parts instead of drawn in a schematic.
  • Check the result: whether every net is one piece of copper and nothing is shorted, and whether trace widths, clearances, annular rings and drill sizes are within what the fab can make.
  • Look at the finished board in 3D: real materials, four lighting environments, a day and night slider, and the LEDs shining through the windows from behind.
  • Export Gerber and Excellon files as a zip, written to the KiCad 9 conventions that Aisler and JLCPCB expect. All of it runs client side.
