Alexander Alber
Diagnostic Engineer & Researcher
Alexander Alber is a diagnostic engineer based in Germany. He holds a Diplom in mechanical engineering (KIT Karlsruhe) and a PhD in information technology (Politecnico di Milano). He works on condition monitoring and diagnostics for power grid infrastructure (power transformers and tap changers), currently at Hitachi Energy. Over 30 peer-reviewed publications, 4 patents. Secretary of a CIGRE working group on digital twins.
From 2012 to 2018 he was a scientist at DLR, working on equation-based modeling of aircraft systems. Papers from that period appeared under the name Alexander Pollok.
