Print Nest

A fitted transport case for a 3D print, made from its STL. Upload the model, choose the side the case comes on from, and the tool builds the largest shape that still lifts off in a straight line, kept a set clearance away.

• Three outputs: a two-part capsule that closes around the model, a cover block with a flat top, or a draped shell of even thickness.
• The clearance is measured as a sphere rolled over the model, so it holds on steep walls as well as on flat tops.
• Capsule halves and cover block print without support: their fitted side faces up.
• Models from the Trophy Sculptor can be sent over directly. Everything runs in your browser; the file never leaves your device.
